Title: Installation fails: Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded

I'm trying to install the 2nd RC of SMF 2.0 but when trying to open the install.php file I get this error message:

Code Select
Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in /www/htdocs/test64452/install.php on line 284

I have the same problem with the newest stable version of SMF (1.1.11); the older version 1.1.10 however works fine...

Has anybody an idea?

I've managed to solve the problem finally...

You might want to delete this thread.

We do not delete threads, we just mark them solved for future reference.

Would you mind posting what you did to fix this? Some hosts set limits on how long a script can run.
