Title: Two Forum Indexes, One Member Database
Post by: mabley on February 21, 2010, 01:34:48 PM
I'd like to find a way to create two forum indexes that share the same member database.

For example:

Forum Index is located at www.Forum1.com.
You log in.
If you were to go www.Forum2.com (or www.Forum1.com/forum2, whatever), you would see a different forum index with it's own theme, own boards, own threads everything.  But you'd still be logged in with the same account.

Can this be done? If so, how?

Also, assuming it can be done, how would permissions work.  If AccountA has global mod abilities on Forum1, would it have them on Forum2?  Or would AccountA have a separate set of permissions for Forum1 and Forum2?

Thanks!

It may be useful to tell your SMF version, in case you may need to get to specifics.
