Title: Adding External Link to Menu Bar
Post by: Bob Mueller on March 29, 2010, 02:17:06 AM
Running 1.1.11.

I'm looking to add a link to my Amazon store to the menu bar. I've got the store location in a sticky post, but I'd also like it up on the menu bar to make it a little more apparent.

I found  this post (http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=320596.0), which sort of does what I want, but how do I go about adding an external link to the tab that got added?

I'll happily accept a link to an explanation/example if there is one; I searched Tips & Tricks and the linked post is the only suitable one I found.

The process is the same as described in How do you add custom tabs to the Core (default) theme menu? (http://docs.simplemachines.org/index.php?topic=564.0) - the theme just uses different images, same base code appears to be used.

I knew I was going to miss it. Thanks!

Arantor,

Thanks for the pointer. I ended up getting lazy and used Depracated's Custom Tab mod.
