Title: Odd server time.
Post by: Trapper333 on July 12, 2010, 10:25:47 AM
Before I go and make a jackass of myself with my hosting provider I need to verify something. Am I correct in believing that SMF obtains its displayed time from the server it's hosted on rather than the end users local machine?

I ask because there's a 6 "minute" time differential between the server my SMF is hosted on and our local machines. The machines here are verified to have the correct time and have the correct time offset selected in SMF to allot for location differences. SMF's displayed time is always 6 minutes behind the actual time.

You're not a jackass. Your servers clock is ticking too fast  ;)

Cool. Thanks. I've sent them a ticket concerning the issue.
