Can i just delete all the files in the cache folder via ftp ??
If you are using cPanel X to manage your site, go to the Files section of cPanel, and find R1Soft Restore Backups. And go to the latest version before your forums started to spazz out.
Yes, you can empty it via FTP.
The "cache" directory is in the root, where Settings.php is.
Leave index.php and .htaccess there, though.

OK it .. worked ... i just deleted the one file in particular then the forums loaded ... then i clear the cache .. thanks for the help :)
Whats the benefit of the cache anyways ? i don't see it in smf 1.1.x
I think it's designed to speed things up, a bit. Rather like the cache your browser uses, I believe.

Ok kool, but i guess as a side effect it can get corrupted and cause a crash :-X
