Title: Making one thread public
Post by: Jago^ on August 23, 2010, 07:56:48 PM
Heya,

I was wondering if it's possible to make a single thread public, which is in a board that would normally require registration.

Thanks for your time ;D

No, by default that is not possible. There are some mods that will prevent guests from reading topics, but I'm not sure these will allow you to select topics to be accessible by guests.

Have you tried searching the mod site?

Yes, i've browsed the mod site now.
It seems there is no way to make a topic visible for anyone, despite its location on the board.

No problem though, I just happened to wonder since I came along an occasion where it would be useful.
Guess there's always the possibility to move a thread :)

I could move this to the Mod Requests (http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?board=79.0) board if it's really important to you. I'm not sure it will end up in a mod being created though  :-\
