Title: Is there any option in SMF that original posts can be sorted out by date ?
Post by: rahuld on September 23, 2010, 02:52:29 AM
Dear Members
I am running SMF Forum in my website . I have few questions
1)  My problem is that when someone replies to my post it comes on the top of the listing. What I want is, that the original post to be on the top and not by the date it was replied .Is there any such posibility ? Is there any feature that original posts can be sorted by date ?
2) Can we move a post from one board to another board or may be even to child board ?

I may be missing something in settings, please guide me.

Thank you
With regards
Rahul

1) There is a modification for that:
http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=1677
http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=298643.msg2731717#msg2731717

2) If you are an admin or a global moderator you should see a "Move" button when viewing a topic. That can be used to move topics to other boards. If it's a single post you want to move, split it first, then move it.
