Title: [4842] Posting page layout is messed while using Polish UTF8
Post by: Joker™ on October 22, 2010, 10:08:14 AM
As title of post says

http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=405866

I installed a fresh SMF 2.0 RC3 , added Polish utf-8 language pack. Enabled options for guest to post through
admin >> permissions >> guest >> modify >> Post new topics

and this was the result (see the attached pic)

For the time being i posted this solution (but it doesn't look good in English language)

It's not only Chrome BTW, it's the same in opera and FF (5.0, don't know what's the current version).

:D Must admit I've never checked any of them in Polish. This planet has too many languages.

Current conversion of FF is 7.

FF need to slow down their dev cycle a bit. It's getting to the point where they're only annoying people with all the rapid changes.

What's the big deal?! "name" in Polish is "Nazma", so the translator added something to the translation that should not be there. Happens often.
Edit the translation instead.

EDIT: The Polish text means "name displayed" according to Google, so it's not a correct translation.

Should be fixed now.
I changed "name" string from Nazwa wyświetlana to just Nazwa in index.polish.php.

Thanks!

Checked all the other languages, it seems that the only one with similar problems could be Turkish but at resolutions lower than 1024, so let's close the issue.
