Title: How many boards can SMF reliably handle?
Post by: choloman05 on October 28, 2010, 12:22:14 PM
I'm in the process of putting together a forum that's going to have about 50 boards with +/- 30 child boards for each board.

I figure SMF can handle it but thought I would ask here to see what peoples' experience/opinions are. Thanks,

more boards = slower performance

and it will look like there are many empty boards

Yeah I'm a little worried about the site slowing down, but I'll be using the boards more like pages than boards. Ha, I guess that answers my own question then.

SMF can reliable handle _many_ boards - no problem, what it comes down to is what your server can handle. :)

On a shared server, is 500 and above boards possible?
