Title: Search Result Format Error
Post by: Spuds on December 18, 2010, 08:30:58 PM
Did this on this site

Do an advanced search for "Force the use of a search index" (with the quotes), match all words.

some of the results are returned as:

Quote
SMF 1.x Support / 'ass="highlight">Force ass="highlight">the ass="highlight">use ass="highlight">of a search index'

basically looks like the css construct got parsed wrong and ended up as part of the topic title, that force ass stuff made me laugh!

it is recommended to not report bugs found on this site due to the fact that it is not running the released version and the developers may already know about the issues and be working on them.

they are running a version of r4 that is newer then what is available but it should still be r4, or soon to be full release of smf 2.

There's no shame in reporting bugs for either the site or a development version of SMF, or even a production install of SMF. So long as said bug has not been reported before, then there is no problem in reporting it.

On this site it is RC4 (with a few modifications installed). It should not be a development version unless it says so. For example, we had before RC4, a development version - and the footer did say exactly that, the particular revision of the dev version which was being run here.

Thank you for reporting.

I can reproduce it here, but not in a local install.
