I've converted one of my forums from 1.1.12 to 2.0 RC4.
And now the search function gives a blank output.
Is there a trick to reindex the search tables?
any errors in your error log?
Which errorlog are you talking about?
the one built into smf in the admin panel.
Errorlog isn't reporting anything, alas.
anything in your servers error log?

Also none, indicating an error in SMF.
Logged in to the database and inspected the 'search' tables contents.
log_search_messages
emptylog_search_results
emptylog_search_subjects
50 records log_search_topics
emptyin version 1.1.1x there was a admin task to recreate a new search index, if I remember correctly.
That would become handy now I think.
That isn't the server error log - ask your host about it, since it's not in an DB table.
If you want to rebuild the search index - not that it would solve this problem, since an empty search index won't cause a white screen error - you can do so from Admin > Forum > Search.
So, list of mods installed?

I'm aware of that...........the reference to the databasetables where merely to illustrate that there is nothing found.
I have access to the server, its a machine here in the datacenter of my employer.
And the httpd error_log isn't reporting anything.
No additional mods installed.
After 2 days of inspecting the sources and database content, I'm ready for a mental hospital.
I can't find anything that points to the problem!
Hoped somebody has a clue or a ponter, but unfortunately nobody seems to heva the same.
Just to kick the topic to the top.
I'm still not able to get some output of the search function.
