If you tell us which version of SMF you're using, we can move this to the correct support board, for you.

You'll get the help you need, then. :)

At the very worst, all you'll need to do is replace index.php with the original file.

I'm up to my neck in someone else's hassles, though, at the moment.

I'll be back, as they say... :)

In the meantime, if you attach those two files to your next post, we can take a look at them.

FTP into your site with something like FileZilla (http://filezilla-project.org/) and go through the subdirectories, and find the files I marked in red:
/home/mbuck/public_html/Sources/CustomizableHomePage.php
/home/mbuck/public_html/index.php
After you've found them, download them to your computer, locate where you've downloaded them, and upload/attach them to here.

public_html/Sources/CustomizableHomePage.php

public_html/index.php

You'll need to extract CustomizableHomepage.php from the mod package, then move that file into your ./Sources directory. The error basically says that it can't find the file, because it's not there.

Download the mod you installed (which appears to be Customizable Homepage), and extract the files from the package using a program like WinRar or 7-zip. Then, find the CustomizableHomepage.php file, and upload it to your forum's ./Sources directory.

Easy as cake.

please take a look at How do I use FTP? / What is FTP? (http://docs.simplemachines.org/index.php?topic=480.0), you could also use the file manager provided to you by your host in the control panel for your server.

logging into ftp to upload the missing file and logging into your forum are not the same thing.
