Title: Changed favicon
Post by: silasunderdog on March 13, 2011, 10:28:03 PM
SMF changed my favicon to it's forum icon so I re-uploaded mine to the root directory. Now the forum's icon has changed but my home page still has the SMF favicon. I looked through all the SMF directories and cannot find a favicon to change. What can I do to replace the favicon?

Thanks

SMF does not change your favicon!

It takes a while for it to show sometimes if you made a new one and uploaded it to the root.

Clear your browser cache and cookies and check again.  You can also use another browser to check and see if the change has gone through and if it's just your other browser caching stale data.

ACAMS - SMF does indeed come with a favicon now in the RC4+ releases.  If someone uses the large upgrade pack, the favicon they have (if they have one) will be overwritten if they upload all files.  So I guess you're statement is technically correct that SMF didn't do it, but the person who upgraded the forum.
