Title: what's the difference between local and global?
Post by: SubCog on July 19, 2005, 01:12:43 AM
hey, I keep seeing the options to set my boards to local or global, but I don't know why I should care one way or another.  Anyone wanna offer a quick explanation of what they are?

Global means that all the permissions are the same across all the boards showing as Global.

Local means that permissions are set for that board only and can be very different from any other board without affecting their permissions.
