Title: Ruined My WEBSITE!
Post by: Biology Forums on May 17, 2011, 10:45:42 PM
After users log on, I'm getting the error:

Not Found

The requested URL /repair_settings.php was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

I enabled Pretty URL and this is what happened, what should I do? People can no LONGER log on to the forum :-[ :'(

Uninstall pretty URLs. Yeah, they are pretty, but they aren't as beneficial as you might think they are. Are you able to get to the admin area to uninstall/disable it? If you're wanting to keep that mod running, you may want to look in/post in the support topic for that mod.

Fixed it, went into phpadmin or whatever it's called and deleted that table - I hate pretty URL.

Personally, I don't hate pretty URLs, but I don't see the need. Glad to read you got it sorted.

Considering what I needed to do though, $50 was nothing really. Especially when split between four folks. Even then, I wanted to foot the entire thing, but was persuaded to fork out my fourth of the price. Beats having to figure out how to code such a thing. Had I tried to do that myself, I'd still not even have started by now.
