Title: Anyone know a way of accomplishing this?
Post by: iwabo on June 20, 2011, 05:45:53 AM
Hey guys

I want to find a way so I can have like a download section in my SMF forum. It should be admin only (I mean only admins can "upload" and edit files), and that I can use it to download files from my FTP. So basically it should be able to scan for files on the server (if I tell it to) and then just "protect" the links. I hope you know what I mean.

Funny I tried using this before once but it got messed up with Japanese characters but now it seems to work. So thanks for that.

But somehow I can't figure out how to "batch-add" files. There are sooo many files on my server that I want to make available...obviously I don't add every single file by hand.

Mybe you can use Aeva Media for this purpose.

It has a mass upload feature but only from local computer, not from an FTP path.  :-\ Actually I wanted to use Aeva Media in the first place because I like the design and everything but yeah mass "upload" from FTP doesn't seem to be an option.
