Title: Images not being displayed in Forums
Post by: Dave n LC on August 18, 2005, 10:36:42 PM
Now this is wierd...

After I upgraded my site to the "SMF 1.1 Beta 3 Public", the images in the Forums are not being displayed at all. Just the 'lil' red x box'.
But, if I click on the lil' Red X box, this image pops up and is then displayed in the Pop up Window. I can also DL the images too with no problems.

This is a personal website that I am just messing around with: htp://manvel.etowns.net
I'm on a Win2K Pro platform runnin Apache 1.3xx

Guess I should've said the Attachment images in the forums. Say when you attach a picture, it should be displayed while you are reading the Post.

I've added a Test Post in the "Coffee Shoppe" for you to to take a peek at.

All other images are displayed correctly.

Sorry for the slowness...  we're a little busy online finishing up some stuff.

I've enabled "Guest Viewing of Posts" in the "Coffee Shoppe"

Did that. Looked through all the configurations and the posts should be displayed. Any other suggestions?

There is a .htaccess file in the attachments directory that needs to be set to whatever settings you prefer, but
<Files 403.shtml>
order allow,deny
allow from all
</Files>
should work

There is no .htaccess file.
I removed the file to get the images to display correctly since installing a couple of earlier versions of SMF ago. This just started when I upgraded to 1.1 Beta  release.

I think I missed this in the Upgrading to release beta 3:

Unfortunately, this release does have a known problem with attachment thumbnails; if you enable that option, you may have problems with excessive memory usage on some versions and configurations of PHP.  We're not sure what is causing this bug, and we're still working on solving it, but it shouldn't be a problem for most people..

I'll just wait until they fix it....
