Title: Moving topics from unknown URL
Post by: colour on December 15, 2011, 12:00:26 PM
I recently restored my sites database, (I made a copy of it then imported from phpmyadmin) however when I restored it the urls on there were different than before and can't find the pages so I was wondering how I could move the topics (since they are still on the database) to boards with the current url.

If I need to provide more just ask

This might be worth a try:

Did try that, also it appears that even new boards created are being created under the other url

www.myfreshgames.info

but it goes to www.myfreshgames.cz.cc before I downloaded the database it was on www.myfreshgames.info and worked fine

are you sure you corrected all links with repair_settings.php? if you did that should not happen.

In repair_settings.php all the urls are to the proper url. Should I just retry the database on a fresh install?

the database holds all the paths along with settings.php and repair_settings.php will correct them, so even if you try a fresh install it should not change it as you will be using the same database and settings.
