Title: Update to SMF 1.1 & Bridge?
Post by: M70 on August 26, 2005, 01:53:15 AM
Hi,

I'm running SMF 1.05 with the bridge, and I've heard that SMF 1.1 has some kind of Mambo integration included.

Is it right?

How should I update?

Does SMF 1.1 need another bridge, or not?

On the other hand I wanted to start handling the Theme and the CSS stuff that is messed when you use the forum wrapped but I'm not sure, so:

Is the CSS stuff handled in the same way that SMF 1.05? I mean mixing CSS files from Mambo and SMF.

I'm sorry if I ask too much, but it could be great to have some kind of Update Guide once SMF 1.1 is released.

Thank you,

Mambo 4.5.2.3

SMF 1.1 requires a similar bridge.

On the MamboForge page where you downloaded 3.19a_stable, you will also find 3.19a_smf1.1b3 for SMF 1.1 beta 3.

and to answer your other question... yes, you still have to work with the temmplate files of both ammabo and SMF, and merge the CSS files for a good display...

The way the bridge is designed, you will always have to do so...
