Title: Question on Option: Additional groups to add the user to after subscription
Post by: Wazza on April 29, 2012, 08:14:21 AM
Hi trying to understand how this works?

Option: Additional groups to add the user to after subscription

Okay With this option selected and Additional Groups upon Subscription added and Length of Subscription for 1 Month.

Just say they never renew? Will they then A. Still remain in that added Membergroup? OR B. Will they be auto removed when their Subscription expires?

Members will be removed from the subscription group when the subscription expires.  SMF runs a scheduled task that updates subscriptions (once daily by default) and reverts expired members to their original group status.

Thanks Krash, so its that easy  ;D ...I take it that the additional added groups option, these are removed too?

One last question before I hit Solved  :D

Does anyone know if I can produce a list of subscribed members in like an Excel or other format?

As i would like to be able to ideally see a list of Subscribed members per each Membergroup.

So I could see stats on how many members there are in separate groups or more than one

20 in Group 1
40 in group 2
30 in group 3
50 in group 4

PLUS be able to see combinations of this in the report

Like how many members from group 1 are also a member of group 3 ? = Total Member Number

30 are in both group 1 & 3
50 are in both group 1 & 2 & 3

Cheers Wazza  :)

You can use phpmyadmin to export smf_log_subscribed in Excel format.

Hey thank you Krash.

Just spent some time looking in my phpmyadmin for the smf_log_subscribed but this not easy to to find?

I will mark as solved for now as my original inquiry is solved and try and to look for this later.

I may ask phpmyadmin for help if this is the only way to get this data  ;)

Thank you Wazza  :)

Not sure what you're looking at, but phpmyadmin shows you a list of database tables in left column.  Click on the one you want (smf_log_subscribed) and it loads into the main window.  The Export option allows you to download the table in various file formats, including Excel.

Krash ... ;D Okay found it!

What I didn't realize is if you click on the name of your data base shown on this left hand side, that you open up ALL the files contained  :-[ and YEP and there it was

Thank you will play around with this now and see what I can do with it!

Cheers Wazza  ;)
