Title: [Help Needed] Deleted Poll Log ?
Post by: eL.diaBLo on June 20, 2012, 08:14:24 AM
Hi guys,
I am the administrator of a forum running SMF 2.0.
Yesterday one of my moderators deleted a very important Poll (only the poll, not the whole topic) and nobody admits it.
Is there any way to find who did it? (note I have activated Moderator Log and its not shown there)
Also is there a way to retrieve it ? ( i have recycle Bin but it isn't there).

If you don't understand something feel free to ask!
Waiting for some HELP ! :D

If it was done before you turned the moderation log on, you're stuffed, because it won't have been logged anywhere.

I have turned on Moderation Log ages ago so this is no a problem.
The thing is that the Log will never show the delete of a Poll, but shows every other action :S

If the poll was removed, it's gone.

As for the log, if it wasn't logged, it won't be able to be retrieved either. Guess this is another bug in SMF, then.

Maybe you or some other one that has admin privileges truncated the log somehow after 24 hours has passed over the deletion. Or even someone that has access to DB somehow. If it doesn't log the new deletions of polls now, as Arantor says, it might be a bug then.

Btw deleted topics go to trash but deleted polls go no where; gone forever.
