I run a lot of different forum software and have noticed that SMF deals with blocking/banning spammers the best.
-Easy to ban a user by hostname,ip,email
-Easy to bulk delete users by profile field
-Lots of antispam mods and question/answer system to prevent spammers.
PHPBB
- no easy way from mod cp to delete all users posts.
- banning takes extra steps to ban ip's,hostnames,emails
- no easy way to search custom fields for signatures,websites entries to do bulk deleting of users
MyBB
-Banning takes an extra step to ban via ip/email
Still feel SMF should have a group for banned users just to keep a track of 'em. But its not highly required however, having it is kinda fancy.

That part would be nice. I think maybe searching ban triggers as well hmm maybe I do that.
