Do you have access to the database? The files don't contain the private message records.

Maybe I'm not understanding the problem with the unread PMs. Are these all belonging to you or other members?

Manually go and change certain tables. This is not recommended unless you know what you're doing.

Why is the forum not accessible? Why can you not go in and read your PMs?

We will not help you read other peoples' PMs, only your own - by fixing the forum.

well,
what about this my hosting Control pannal reply "Processing.. Please wait Account rajtricks.asia has sent more than 350 email messages and only gets 0 visitors per day. Sending large amount of messages is not allowed as it overloads the mail server and we risk to get server IP address blacklisted"what to do?

Hmm...well emails can be sent for many things. PMs is one way. Topic/board notifications is another. Deleting the PMs won't do much for you as the process to kick off the emails would already have been sent. 350 emails isn't really a lot of emails. Who is your host?

I would seriously consider another host. I love the Company logo. If you're this limited in just sending emails, I cannot imagine what else you're limited by. I guess you get what you pay for.

Quote........how to possible this by SMF 2.0.3

1. Get yourself a free Googlemail or Gmail account

2. Go to the mail settings in SMF which you'll find here:

Administration Center => Mail => Settings

3. Change the settings so that they are like:

Set Mail type to:                 SMTP
Set SMTP server to:           ssl://smtp.googlemail.com
Set SMTP port to:               465
Set SMTP username to:      [email protected]
Set SMTP password to:      Your email password
Confirm the password        Confirmation password

If using Gmail then change second line to ssl://smtp.gmail.com

More info here:  http://wiki.simplemachines.org/smf/Mail

4. In your Googlemail account go to settings and make sure you've enabled POP/SMTP.

Hopefully that will work.

;)

If your hosting limited you will get this problem..

It uses the email address configured as the webmaster email address. So if you are using a limited service's email address, you will face this problem as you have (and likely will face others unrelated to emails).
