Title: How To Make A Board With No New Topics Allowed ?

How can I make a board where users can not make new topics ??

Admin>Boards.

Click "Modify" alongside the board.

Set the permission profile to "Reply only"?

Or... instead of clicking "modify", click "Permissions".

You can set each usergroup's permissions, then.

you have to create a usergroup's permission for it. add those you prefer to make new post

actually, K@ answered before you... :)
There is a pre-defined profile called "Read Only" and another one called "Reply only" that comes in the standard SMF installation.
Applying one of thos eprofiles to a board do exactly what the user is asking for.
