Title: How to count all Child-board posts AND Grand-Child-board posts
Post by: jayjay jin on September 24, 2013, 03:11:46 PM
I have checked the "Count child's posts in parent's totals" option in Settings. However, this function does not allow me to count posts in Grand-Child boards.

It is very important for me to create three layers and count all posts from every layer. Any suggestions (mods? settings?) would be appreciated.

Yes, there is a mod for that. Please note the performance hit associated with it
The fact that only the first child is counted is for a reason...

You are completely correct. It does not allow that - for a very good reason.
Doing that for layers is resource intensive.

So, you would have to change the code and add more queries in order to do what you are asking.

Thank you very much for the mod information! I noticed there would be a performance issue. I'll keep an eye on it.
