Title: Show Board Descriptions in the Message Index?
Post by: Peter Duggan on January 25, 2004, 06:11:48 PM
Well, I just couldn't think what else to call this topic, but I've just noticed that all of my SMF boards and this board *here* behave like YaBB SE boards with 'Show Board Descriptions in the Message Index?' checked when viewed as a guest, but not when logged in! Hope that's intelligible, but at least I know what I meant if it's not...

So basically, you're saying this is always enabled for guests or never enabled for guests?

(it was an option in 1.5.x but not a very used one as far as I knew.)

Yes, I'm saying it's always enabled for guests...

Looks OK here because of the way it's been templated but, if you look at the two forums I added to the 'Showcase' tonight, it's terrible because it just doesn't suit (and I can't get rid of it)!

You can remove it from the templates, then... I'll look into a better way to set this option.

Have now commented out 11 lines from each relevant theme message index (so fixed for now!), but haven't yet twigged exactly why that was happening...
