Title: Maintenance mode.
Post by: TinSoldier on August 25, 2015, 02:10:29 PM
I dmin on http://3dfoundry.tk/forum (http://3dfoundry.tk/forum).

I also moderate on http://cobbsterforums.herobo.com/index.php (http://cobbsterforums.herobo.com/index.php)

The forum owner has setup custom levels and what not, which allows me as a moderator to access some of the admin features.

While checking error logs i notice a hacker hitting the forum 3 times a sec with login attempts..

Iv installed a couple spammer mods, but 1 mod i know will work to stop the spammer cant be installed by me do to a server setup issue with files or directories...

Long story short, i decide to put the forum in maintenance mode for a couple days and see how the spammer likes that.

BUTTTT now when i try to login to the forum, it wont let me cause i'm listed as a moderator not an admin.

I've emailed the forum owner etc, i believe he's out of the country for an extended time.

Is it possible to regain control and get the forum out of maintenance mode ???

I don't have access to the forum files ?

No not possible. You would need to contact the owner/the person in charge.
