Title: Decimalisation
Post by: zillion on October 21, 2005, 01:32:32 PM
Er...  A member of one of my Forums has asked me this question:

"I realise this is pernickety...  but any idea what the point is of having the decimal point in the topic and board IDs is? (i.e. http://ccgi.zillion.plus.com/netsandedges/index.php?action=post;board=19.0 )  Seems rather pointless, especially when you change the .0 to a .2 or something and it takes you to the same page."

Thought it might be something to do with Child Boards, but that doesn't seem to be the case. Done a quick Search here, but not found any obvious reference.

Now I'm curious! Any takers?
???

It's the page number, well technically start from number. 2 does nothing since you have more than 2 per page. If you had 20, 20 would take you to page 2.
