Title: v2.1 readme_install.html bug(?)
Post by: Artras on January 23, 2016, 09:05:48 AM
It says to change file permissions for /Packages/installed.list but the file does not exist.

It also says to change permission on /avatars, but it doesn't say anything about the new folder custom_avatar
I have to guess here, but think that custom_avatar also need 777 as permissions or am I wrong ?

you are wrong...

well -- to a point.  Depending on your server setup - 777 should not actually be needed in most cases. 755 is usually sufficient

Ok, perhaps not to 777 but it need to be changed from the default 644 right?

If it is, it should be mentioned in readme_install.html

ummm..... no directory should ever be 644 -- and no, on 99% of the servers, there should be no need to chmod the directories or files

Sigh, my bad. I just didn't see the "v2.1" in the subject and wondered where you had the info from.
