Title: Mute sub-forums on Unread Topics
Post by: franhaselden on January 05, 2018, 05:36:16 AM
It seems the majority of my memberbase use the "Recent Unread Topics" page to navigate the site. I must admit, I do too. I rarely visit each sub-forum individually.

I wondered if there is any mod out there that would allow a user to mute a sub-forum and thus not have it show up on the Recent Unread Topics list. Or even to have a different solution - an "unread topics" page where you can do some of your own subscribing and curating; the ability to choose which sub-forums do interest you and then having a "My Dashboard" type page with all the posts you've "missed".

Anything like this out there?

Built in but turned off by default. There's an option for letting users ignore boards - you'll find it in the admin panel search for 'ignore'. Users can then choose boards to ignore in their profile.

It's in all 2.0 forums. Go to the admin panel and use the search feature there for "ignore" and it'll show you where the setting is. I don't currently have access to a 2.0 forum where I could look it up.

Admin -> Boards -> Settings -> Allow boards to be ignored
