I am interested on intrigating the smf forum of this site I maintain:

I am considering mambo, but being a first for me I have a concern. The forum is hosted on my server, but the site itself is on another. This is because I have access to MYSQL.
My question is, is it still possible to intrigate the forum with the main site? if not, what should I do?
