Title: Unable to Connect - database problem
Post by: mcb on August 14, 2018, 02:20:44 PM
I hope i can get your help.  I think i messed up the link to the current DB.  I was working on a setting up a test site, in preparation for a migration.  I didn't realize i was on my current forum site's page.  And i entered in the wrong information for the DB in the admin settings panel.

How do i point it back to it's database?  I know that my new test database user would not be the same, so i'm confused as to why it would have made any changes in the first place.  But i obviously did a number on it, for access the site, just comes up with "Connection Problems".

Thanks for your help.

Apologies, missing things in a bit of a panic.  1.1.21.

check your Settings_bak.php file, it should have the database connection details you can COPY into the Settings.php file.
