Title: Auto delete old posts in a topic. [SOLVED]
Post by: Chyandour on February 07, 2023, 07:05:51 AM
Hi,

Is there a way to auto delete old posts of a certain age in a topic? I have an RSS news feed which displays each news item as a separate post. I would like to auto delete any posts older than 30 days..

Update: Sussed it, answer was right under my nose  ;D

BTW: as both a user and an admin, I think that is a terrible, terrible idea.

WHY would you delete posts like that?

Hi Kindred
I need to do something similar. I have RSS Feeds from the Australian BoM (Bureau of Meteorology) of current weather warnings.
I've only just introduced this using RSS Aggregator. What I have found though, because there's already a RSS feed from the BoM, it does not update, leaving the previous now out of date warnings in place until I manually delete them.

Can you suggest of a good method to allow this to happen?

Many thanks
