Title: PHP Versions
Post by: Jubal on January 01, 2025, 02:09:18 PM
So, my host says we're running PHP 8.2, but I just tried to install a mod which wouldn't install on the grounds that we were running 7.3x PHP - and that's also reflected in the forum's PHP info sheet. Can anyone help me resolve this difference (in the direction of having 8.2 reflected in the forum software)?

Many thanks in advance for any assistance.

Check your hosting control panel, you may be able to choose the version there.

That's the thing: on my host, I have selected 8.2. But the forum seems to still think we're running 7.3.

EDIT: And of course there was an old htaccess overwrite I'd not noticed from our previous hosting. All fixed now!

Sometimes you might also have the option to specify a version in .htaccess, could be worth checking.
If you can't find anything in there, it's best you ask your host.

EDIT: And I see you figured that out, good to hear!
