Title: After upgrading from 2.0.18 to 2.1.4, attachments no longer work. New and old.
Post by: 8220 on May 03, 2025, 02:02:52 AM
Hi Folks

I upgraded from 2.0.18 to 2.1.4, and now attachments and avatars no longer work. All files in the attachments folder have a .dat extension. And even when I add new attachments to posts, they don't appear. But i can find the new one in the attachment folder.

If I try to open it manually I get this message in the browser.

Jens

Generally, it is polite to post the TEXT that we ask for,  not an image...

Run repair_settings.php

If the didn't work, please uninstall your mods and confirm if the attachments work

You have several mods which change the attachment functionality

Sorry about that.

I've now run repair_settings.php and uninstalled my mods. Unfortunately, my problem still persists.

I can see all my attachments with upload date, correct size and correct name.
