Instead of
border-color: #FFFFFF #000000 #000000 #FFFFFF; border-style: outset; border-top-width: 1px; border-right-width: 1px; border-bottom-width: 1px; border-left-width: 1px;
Rather:
border-top: solid 1px #FFFFFF;
border-right: solid 1px #000000;
border-bottom: solid 1px #000000;
border-left: solid 1px #FFFFFF;
The use of "outset" is not needed..and it will render slightly different in browsers too. In my example you set the correct color for each border, and can even have a slightly darker for left, and slightly lighter for right - for the ultimate 3d look. :)
