Post by: Norgaard on February 05, 2006, 02:30:06 AM
Where does The bridge for Joomla store the "forum menu item"
Hello, I am using The newest bridge with Joomla 1.05, trying to figure out how and why an old meny item of mine with the name "forum" come back when I perform a new install of the bridge. The problem is that menu was used for another component. --> index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=53.

I can't get rid of it? and obviously i need to to get the bridge to work properly

Any help would be appreciated

Regards

Norgaard, Bridge installs itself new menu item named 'Forum'.
If something is wrong with this item you can always make new menu item pointing to component SMF Bridge.

Hey, yes it installs the "forum" menuelement but this elemnt points to some other component I had installed before. My problem is the "registered menu" for those who is signed in don't show" up. (it does sometimes)
I thought that it maybe was the case of the problem?

1- delete all the old forum items... especially ones pointing to incorrect (or no) components.
2- emtpy your joomla trash
3- add a new menu item...   use the NEW item ID is all other links to forum pages.
