Title: Using SMF for registration only, no forum
Post by: PeterGibbons on February 17, 2006, 04:26:39 PM
I know I read something about this here before, but the search is currently down on this site.

Is there a way to configure the SMF features only for registering and keeping track of members, without having a forum?

I am curious if this is something that can be accomplished without looking hacky.

Thank you for your help.

It can be done.. but what will it actually display? Would it just skip straight to your profile or what? If you don't want a forum, you should consider using some other type of community or CMS software.

Good question. I have not thought that far ahead. Like I said, I am just curious. Maybe there is a way to set it up so after registration, it sends the user to the page they initiated the registration from, instead of the forum?
