I find that style very nice, but why you left out some new SMF things, like "Time logged in:", "Unread post since the last visite" (i don't know the exact senteces, because i use smf in german). Whith this things, it were the perfect style.

Gave you this designe anybody, or is this only for you?

My forum members likes the bright color so do I  ;)............ This skin designed for SMF but i name it VB style ......... Don't worry about the VB name cuz it's only a demo skin and is not finish yet........ Also i'm working on a silver skin and buttons  ;)

Cheers  :)

They look similar, but they are not the same. And I am not talking about the colors, look at the designs on them.

they were created from scratch afaik and yes it is true that that was the vB theme this one was based of (again afaik)... however as he didnt copy anything as such (physically) he's done nothing wrong :-\

I know they look similar but i designed myself and why don't you enlarge them in photoshop and see by yourself........ I used different watermark and shape for both the skin and the circle and even patterns i made it myself........ man i got to tell you this "before you say i changed the color only enlarge them in photoshop and check the watermark, patterns, shape, curves, style ......thats if you're a real designer.......... Plus I have this design in PSD's and if you don't belief me then thats your problem.......... No i will not remove my own design ..........I know they look similar but who cares if i designed myself.

Cheers !

I just want to post that, to my knowledge, it's okay to "copy" another product as long as you do it differently.

I mean, how many different pacifiers do you see in stores?

Copyright has to do with whether it is the same, whether they stole your work.  Making something similar, as long as its their own work, is usually okay - but sometimes you get sticky with derivative work.

If you want to be safe - I recommend speaking to a lawyer.  But for general purpose, it should be fine.

This what i was trying to point to Coder ......... Similar doesn't mean copycat........ Plus i have my own PSD's for this design.

QuoteWhen can we expect the skins to be posted?

One skin is not enough plus i need a permission from SMF Admins to sell the skins cuz it's a free forum and i edited the template system to make the changes plus i'm not the only one who should make money......... Anyways it's too early for this subject  :)

Nice work.  I'd maybe try to smooth the rounded corners a bit more as they look a little "lumpy" or not completely rounded I guess.

I'll probably use one of own themes ;)

I'm one of those guys that's grateful for what he get's for free, and doesn't charge people if he can add a certain value to that project.
It's one of the things that goes against free software imho.
It's too much of an "Invision" mindset...

Stop advertising it like it's the best show in town, and that'll be it for me.

and uhm, there are a couple of buttons at the bottom of your forum that aren't decoration. You have to earn them...

I beielve all babylonking is saying if you like them, you can buy them if you want, and if you don't, you don't need to buy them. No need to complain about it.  :)

Why must it be paid? I'm 14 with no money.

Maybe I'll just work on the default theme, since it's the only one we can get free.

Probably because BLK wants to gain something from the work he puts into them, you could create your own :)

I'm sure others will probably release some free.

I make good stuff all the time. In fact, I work terribly hard at it. But I release it for free.

I just can't buy crap whenever, I'm trying to get money for a laptop. You want to know how hard it is for me to find a way to make money? I can't run a friggin lawnmower! Fall's over, and winter's nearly gone.

Maybe I should charge people to use zChat. Because you know, I worked hard on it.

And you know what, people would be willing to buy it. I have recieved offers. (However, they didn't go through, e-mail went down. Aquilo knows why.)

Anyways . . .
