Title: Extremely Slow Forum

Hi there, I have a forum called ParallelFX. It's a Graphics community, normally we run smoothly and nice speeds, but now a lot of members are experiencing really slow loading times.

Googlebot & Spiders Mod

-I still get performance issues if I use the Default theme.

have you contacted your host? maybe they are having issues

if 1.0.6 - stop the image check.

also, find out anything related to dns resolving and turn it off. if you do have any scripts wich are using hostnames, try another approach if possible - digits (ip address) instead the hostname.
play a bit with the compression.

have a voulnteer or two to disable the images and try if it will go back to normal.
ask them to be SPECIFIC what pages/themes are slow, check them. try to identify when where and who  is having the problems.

the rest is hosting/hosting plan (site grow issue:); and server optimizations, which are usually not available on shared hosting.

if your hosting company is blamming you, odds are they arnt a good hosting company.
by any chance, are you paying 3$ or so a month for about 200gigs of transfer?
