Title: SMF 1.1 RC2 and PostNuke Integration
Post by: starrbuck on March 21, 2006, 03:42:30 PM
Hi, I am evaluating replacing PNphpBB2 with SMF at my PostNuke site.  I am currently running PostNuke 0.762, SMF 1.1 RC2, and pnSMF 2.26.  However, when I call the pnSMF module from PostNuke, I am not logged in to SMF.  If I go to the SMF URL directly, it keeps me logged in.  The pnSMF site appears to be down so I am unable to ask any questions there.  Is anyone doing this successfully and maybe encountered and fixed this problem as well?

I tried this, but I was unable to get anywhere with the PostNuke template system.  I am doubting that SMF security can be maintained and also work properly with the PostNuke template system.

Yeah, I was afraid of that.  It's too bad, as there aren't enough forum choices for PostNuke.  :(

Is there any hope to see a bridge for SMF and the upcoming .800 release of postnuke? I love SMF and I need a CMS like Postnuke that has real Content Management implemented (not just a simple portal with news), so I'm afraid joomla isn't for me.
