Title: PSP8
Post by: eFishie on March 26, 2004, 12:51:01 PM
Do you think it would be worth the money to spend $99 and buy Paint Shop Pro? I really want to get good graphics software, and my budget is really thin.

Paint shop pro is good.  I'm mainly a photoshop user, but meh.  If you are really into graphic designing, I suggest you get it.

I have it at work and I don't think it's worth it at all. I'm a Photoshop person myself, but I admit that PSP7 was really good! But the new version 8 is just so crappy and really bogs down your computer. Hell after they released it there was already a patch for 8.1 because the released version was soooooo buggy and slow :P So unless 8.1 is shpping, you better download the patch vefore you use it, if you buy it.

I'm not buying anything yet. I'm trying out PSP8 first to see if I like it. :) I just need something better than ArcSoft Photostudio. Maybe MS Paint is more my speed! :D

In the 30 day trial, I'll make a button set and then sell it and hopefully I will make enough money to buy it!

I am also signed up on Google AdSense... :) I don't think we're going to have a problem. Especially if I can find the trial days left counter thingy.

I have found that on costly apps before and got a "unlimited free trial!"

I recommend Jasc's Paint Shop Pro 7 over 8 as well.  I've never liked the interface 8/Photoshop uses.

Yeah, I tried 8 out, it is the most unfriendly thing (besides Winbloze) I have ever seen.

I use both PSP7 and PSP8 and enjoy both.  I have PS on my computer and hardly ever use it as I find PSP more "user-friendly".  Isn't it peculiar how many people find different programmes to their liking?

Guess that's what makes the world go round.

I started using PSP with Version 4
