Just because the entites aren't there doesn't mean it won't work in basically any aggregator.

but how do you avoid this from happening? different charset on the RSS feed or something? i follow my news boards through the RSS plugin for Trillian 2 Pro, but it doesn't display anything in the type of cases ACF posted (eg characters like ë etc)
