I have problem with NewsFader to works in IE, it showing only a first news as a static text, in FF works great (showing all news in fader mode), only me have this problem?
Make sure you didn't somehow disable Javascript in IE. SMF sets the news fader text to a random news line as well as using javascript so that if javascript is disabled, the box won't be blank.
To check the javascript settings in IE:
Tools -> Internet Options
Click the "Security" tab
Click the "Custom Level..." button
Scroll down to the "Scripting" section
Make sure "Active scripting" is set to either "Prompt" or "Enable"
The setting are Ok, alla Java are enabled, in the IE Bar appearan "Error page" it say "'smfFadeContent.length' is null, dont is a object"
another problem with the news fader is due to the new microsoft update that effects how applets, object, embed, and java/javascript works with IE..
you may notice, especially with flash on a webpage, a little popup saying 'click to activate this control' or 'press enter or spacebar to activate this control' will appear after this update is installed on your computer (it's a priority update as well).
I had to disable the news and news fader because of it, just doesn't work on most IE browsers that have the new update installed, they weren't able to view my boards with it at all.
Yes exactly what you say, damnit, no way to modify the SMF code to work with that update?

SMF version?
Mods installed?
Are you using the mambo / Joomla Bridge?
Try re-uploading the javascript files in the themes folders
