Once we have a complete workup on what happened we'll share them.  Until then I'm going to close this down as its not servering any benefitual purpose.

man just when you hit post! ::)

any way I just wanted to say to all the guys that have a problem with SMF's server downtime...

Quotethe server has been down! at least there is a community site, it gone a long time with out problems!

I think it's just a bad week for servers, during a routine reboot the server I've been on for years suffered a hard crash, now all the MySQL data and some system files are gone, both the raid array and the backup drive had to be sent out to a data recovery specialist for forensic recovery.

so blame it on the hot weather or what ever, but SMF is still here!

Give the guys here a break! Lewis Media is in Canada, I haven't even looked to see where the server is, and the support staff here are from all over the world, you may never get concrete answers! and so what this is all free unless your a charter member then  patience is the answer! :P

Since some are complaining about the lock....

We don't have anything to hide.  However as of yet we don't have any FACTS to share either.  The worst thing we can do is to spread false information around.  So once we have factual information to share with you all we will do so.
