When I log on to my site it gives me this in firefox
"The page isn't redirecting properly
Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.
* This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept
cookies."
Im running Joomla! 1.0.10, SMF 1.1 RC2, and SMF Bridge 1.1.5.
I tried it in IE and it just keeps loading and loading. You get logged in in the process but it just doesnt send you anywhere.
Add this to the bottom of your Joomla template:
<?php mysql_select_db($GLOBALS['db_name']); ?>
I do have that in the template....its the basically the same Joomla template I use on another site, but Im not having the problem on the other site.
Does you Joomla database user have access to your SMF database? Does your SMF database user have access to your Joomla database?
yes, its one user that access the different databases
Can I see a URL?
http://hwwrpg.com
Is there anything in your forum error log?
8: Undefined index: forum lots of those cause I still have not figured out why I keep getting them.
It's the shared forum mod. There's something you haven't done correctly.
Is that whats causing the login problem to or just the error message in the error log. I know that I get the undefined index: forum cause someone keeps accessing the forum without going through the proper links to put the forum=whatever in the url
Most likely. Go through the instructions for the shared forum mod, and make sure you haven't missed any steps.
Ok thanks.....will do as soon as my sites back up.
I went through every step again and I am still having the problem.
