The things I like about Mod Packager is that its point click install
how ever, after working with IPB for so many years and working with mods for that
I like to know where and what files I am changing.
most mods work only on default themes, which makes it that much harder to use a mod, as people have other themes for there members.
It would be nice if people that wrote mods would also release an editing install, the old skool way
Look for ......
add above.....
this way we can install mods for other themes easier
Well you can do that all you need to really is open up package-info.xml from the mod package and folllow instructions. Then open the .mod or .xml files and follow the edits for each file. Most of the time you will be able to add the mod to another theme other than the default theme.
dont you mean install.xml ?
and thats a little easier said then done, I guess I will have to learn this way
ty for the lead in direction
