Otsikko: SMF topic integration into a dynamic php page?
Kirjoitti: jbeezer - heinäkuu 25, 2006, 02:35:15 IP
I am wanting to incorporate a corresponding SMF topic into the bottom of a php page, much like a user comment system.  For example, at the bottom of this (http://music.nofatties.biz/view.php?id=54 (http://music.nofatties.biz/view.php?id=54)) page, i would like this (http://music.nofatties.biz/smf/index.php?topic=2.0 (http://music.nofatties.biz/smf/index.php?topic=2.0)) topic to be displayed underneath those 3 tables, but still inside of the main content table.  I only want the 'main' content part of that topic to be displayed, not the header and footers, I'll have a link to that post if they want to view the full forum.  Anyone have any ideas or tips for doing this?  Somehow its going to need to incorporate the right topic based off of the id=# that is passed to my view.php.  Is this even possible, or would I be better off just using a simple commenting system?

I have already looked at the SSI examples, and while that seems fairly close to what i want, I don't think it would work, unless i wrote some custom function into it, or something like that.  I plan on using SSI to have a login at the top of my view.php.  But the main thing im after is displaying the user's posts (for that specific topic) at the bottom of it, and still retaining forum functionality, not just writing out the text.
