I am soory, but I have looked around and I just can seem to find an answer although I am sure it is out there and I am unsure what I am looking for.
I am using the default core theme on smf 11 RC2 and I would like to get rid of the grey background and then place a fixed image background (full screen) .. I have looked at the css tut's that you have and have been looking for something simular to
Lainaa
<style type="text/css">
BODY {background-image:url(background.gif);}
</style>
I have looked in templates and css file and I can't for the life of me find it,
Thank you very much in advance for your assistance
open style.css in your default theme directory
search for
/* The main body of the entire forum. */
body
{
background-color: #E5E5E8;
margin: 0px;
padding: 12px 30px 4px 30px;
}
change the bold to:
background: #color url('backgroundimage.gif');
where color is the color you want your background to be if the image doesn't load
The way I do it is in that area I just add a line after padding like this:
background-image: url(/forum/Themes/default/images/bg.jpg);
Thanks everyone, your are great .. I tell you I can be as thick as honey in the winter..lol
Thanks again
Edit :
Worked perfect :)
