Title: Reference Websites, Forums, and Articles
Post by: Isaac on August 02, 2006, 04:55:39 PM
Here are a few websites, forums, blogs, and articles I've found useful, and thought you might too.

Websites, Forums, Blogs

http://www.theadminzone.com - tons of articles and interviews, a great resource

http://www.forumtrends.com - this is Lee Dodd's blog.  For those of you who don't know, Lee Dodd runs 3 huge forums, and makes his living running them.  Great stuff here.

http://www.adminfusion.com - Similar to The Admin Zone, but the main draw here is their post exchange system, called 'Post Fusion'.  It's a really neat system.

Good topic. Anymore I prefer Admin Fusion. I like reading their interviews. :P No, but they provide solid advice. I used to be a SitePoint fan.

I like TAZ more then adminfusion.
Was a member on Best-Board before they merged with AF.
Didn't like it so I signed up on TAZ.
Also visit sitepoint daily :)

Have to agree, the admins there seem to be IPB and vB fanboys, all they seem to suggest is use IPB and vB as soon as possible,

TAZ is awesome for some things, though each site seems to specialize in their own little area. TAZ for instance is awesome at providing long, helpful, no BS reviews for websites. I was very pleased with their review of my site. I get sick of people telling me what I want to hear, rather than what I need to hear.

Please be aware that smfusers.com is under new management and is now run by SMF users. If ANYONE were to ever receive spam from that forum, let me know immediately and that user will be terminated immediately.

QuoteRegistrant:
  preCharge Risk Management Solutions
  Corral, Alex
  130 7th Avenue, 129

  Domain name: smfusers.com

Evidently it isn't under new management or you wouldn't still own the name.

He owns it, but someone else is running it.

The admin of that board is still the admin of the PreCharge forums. I wouldn't exactly consider him an SMF user (other than in the sense that he's using SMF on that site...)
